Hearing Tests

Case history taking, standard comprehensive testing, recommendations and possible fitting of a device to trial, if needed. Please note, this may be fully-subsidised if you are a pensioner under the Hearing Services Program.
Custom Earplugs
$150 – $200
We offer a range of custom earplugs, including: swimming earplugs, construction earplugs, sleep earplugs & musician earplugs. Call us today to make an appointment for this.
Hearing Aids

We offer a range of hearing aid brands. Price varies depending on the level of technology that you need. Please see our ‘about audiology’ page for more info. Subsidies are available for pensioners under the Hearing Services Program.

Government Funding:
Hearing Services Program
You may be eligible for government subsidies towards both your appointments and hearing aids through the Hearing Services Program.
You are eligible for the program if you:
– Have a valid pensioner concession card
– Have a Department of Veteran Affairs (DVA) card – gold or white (with hearing specified)
– Are a dependent of one of the above
– Are a member of the Australian Defence Force
– Referred by Disability Employment Services
Please note, you are not eligible for this program if you hold a seniors health card.

Payment Options
Full Up Front Payment
One option is to pay the total cost of your devices up-front via card or bank deposit.
Interest Free Payment Plan – HUMM
Humm is available to Australian citizens and permanent residents who are 18 years or older. After an initial deposit, you can select the length of your contract, which will impact how much you pay off fortnightly. The best thing about Humm is it is interest free (but there is an $8 monthly account keeping fee).
Private Health Insurance
When it comes to claiming for hearing tests and hearing aids, make sure you check your level of extras cover to see what you are able to claim back on Audiology.
HICAPS is relatively new for Audiology. Health funds that currently do on the spot health claims for HICAPS include:

– Healthcare Insurance
– Teachers Union Health Fund
For all other insurers, we can provide appropriate proof of payment and other necessary supporting documents for you to take directly to them.
